OVERVIEW |
Please note that the use of this part is for Active Duty, Retirees, Reserves, National Guard, 100% DAV, & DoD Civilians. 60 sites, full hookup, 50 amps, dump station, hot showers, laundry, restrooms, WiFi. Pets welcome. Reservations are accepted 180 days in advance from active duty military and reservists, 120 days in advance from military retirees, and 60 days in advance from DoD civilians. Reservations are renewable for another 60 days if a site is available WiFi available through-out the park and a computer for campers use in the clubhouse. Higher rates for civilians. The park is located around a wooded 220-acre lake located in the heart of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. Free washers and dryers. DO NOT use a cell phone while driving on base. |

Navy Submarine Base, Kings Bay, GA. FROM I-95 NORTH: Exit I-95 N at Georgia Exit 1 (St. Marys Rd). Turn RIGHT onto St. Marys Road. Continue on St. Marys Road about 6 miles (3 traffic lights) until you reach the Franklin Gate of NSB Kings Bay, GA. Enter through Franklin Gate and travel on USS Benjamin Franklin Rd. to the second traffic light. Turn RIGHT onto USS Daniel Webster Rd. Eagle Hammock rests about 1 mile on the left. RVs are OK, despite the weight limit sign. FROM I-95 SOUTH: Same as "FROM I-95 NORTH" except you turn LEFT onto St. Marys Rd. from Exit 1 instead of right. NOTE: If Franklin Gate is closed (weekends & drills), turn LEFT off of St. Marys Rd. onto GA spur 40/Charlie Smith Sr Dr. (third traffic light), take RIGHT at following traffic light to enter through the Stimson Gate. Turn RIGHT off of USS Henry Stimson Dr. onto USS Daniel Webster Rd. (third traffic light on base). Eagle Hammock rests 2 miles on the left. |

Enjoy the shade under the magnificent Georgia pines at this KOA. It is located at I-95 - Exit 1 providing easy access only 1/2 mile from the exit ramp and 1 mile from the Florida border. This friendly campground is known for its free waffle and pancake breakfast served every day! All sites are pull thru and offer free cable and Wi-Fi. Enjoy the large swimming pool with a waterfall, game room, on-site laundry, pet park, playground and a full-kitchen screened pavilion. The Studio and The Lodge offer all the comforts of home while enjoying a camping experience. It is located only 10 minutes from the Cumberland Island Ferry located in historic St. Marys, Georgia. |

Modem/Phone/Internet access in the office. |

Turn left on Hwy 40, go down about two miles to Kings Bay Rd (you'll see Walgreens/WalMart on the corners). Turn left and go to the end of the road. Turn left at the light onto Charlie Smith Sr Hwy at the light.(Spur 40) Go through the next light, and down the road approximately 3 miles. Park is on the left. |

Amenities include pavilion, clubhouse, pool, laundry, bathrooms, propane sales, nature trails, Crooked River Boardwalk & Gazebo. Some restrictions on Pets - No pets over 80 lbs, maximum of 2 pets if combined weight is under 80 lbs. No German Sheppards, Dobermans, Rottweilers or Pitt Bulls. |
